Seminar at Nemunas Delta Regional Park

On October 14, 2019, the LOD in cooperation with project partners organised a seminar “Conservation perspectives of Common and Little terns”, which involved participation of the local stakeholders from the Nemunas Delta Regional Park.
This event was addressed to discuss current conservation status of the target species and possible habitats’ management strategies on the Nemunas Delta islands, as well as to present the expected results and conservation actions to the local stakeholders. Representatives from project’s partners institutions, Nemunas Delta, Nemunas Loops, Panemune Regional Parks administrations, Šilutė municipality district municipality administration, State Border Guard Service at the Ministry of the Interior attended the event.
Presentations were given by the LOD staff Marius Karlonas and Eugenijus Drobelis, as well as Aurelijus Rimas, representative of the project partner institution – the State Enterprise Inland Waterways Directorate. The second part of the event was devoted to the visit of the project site in Nemunas Delta Regional Park.
