A special focus to the terns’ conservation issues during the annual meeting of the LOD members

A special focus to the terns’ conservation issues was emphasised by the project staff during the annual meeting of the LOD members, which was held in Kintai September 5-6, 2020. Participants of the meeting discussed the conservation problems in various project areas as well as possible solutions. Discussions were moderated by the project’s senior biologist Liutauras Raudonikis.
A part of the agenda was the visit to the Kintai fishponds, which are located in one of the project areas – Nemunas delta. The project ornithologist Julius Morkūnas presented the main site ‘s conservation problems as well as needs for the practical management.
