Photo competition

In April 2019, the Lithuanian ornithological society announced the photo competition – photographers were asked to submit photos of the tern species, that are found in Lithuania. The main aim of the action was to raise public awareness about terns’ conservation needs and problems. The photo competition was a great success as out of all submitted photos, 40 best photos were selected. However, it seems that photographers still mix terns with gulls, as a part of the submitted photos were with various species of gulls. The nominees of the competition are: Andriejus Bagdanovas, Rimantas Ereminas, Remigijus Gegelevičius, Renatas Jakaitis, Saulius Karalius, Simonas Minkevičius, Dalia Račkauskaitė, Rimantas Stankūnas, Eglė Sukackienė, Igoris Šeštokas. Selected photos will be used while preparing photo exhibition as well as during production of various project materials and products.
